WHETHER IT BE A LOVE CONNECTION, TWO FRIENDS SHARING SOME MAT TIME, OR AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET SOMEONE NEW, COME DO SOMETHING FUN & DIFFERENT PRE-VALENTINE'S DAY AND SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE!
On Saturday, February 11th there will be two 75 minute partner yoga classes led by Purusha Yoga teachers Lucia Young, Aiyisha Castillo, Suzanne Byron, and Joey Carpenter. Partner yoga can provide a fresh perspective to your weekly mat time. Whether you are practicing with that special someone, your best friend or a new acquaintance, working with another person helps you change preconceptions about what you can or can’t do. This class is open to all levels of ability and will include an easy to follow flow and partner poses, ending with restorative and meditative time to nourish your hearts karma and dharma for abundance of love. The classes are only the beginning of the evening!
Also, from 4-7pm, Purusha teacher Tyler Anderson will be leading several workshops on creating natural herbal and botanical massage oils. You'll learn something new and will have the opportunity to take your creation home to put to use!
The class will be followed by an open bar, live auction, hors d'oeuvres, and a raffle. Raffle items will include Thai massage, private one on one yoga classes, amazing gift certificates to local businesses, and much more.
At 8pm, talented singer/songwriter Amal Bisharat and her band will perform an acoustic set featuring their own spin on some classic love songs as well as new favorites by Adele, Elton John, The Cure, Bob Dylan, Billy Ocean, The XX, Journey, and more!
All proceeds from this event will go the Purusha Seva Project a non-profit 501c-3 organization that provides yoga, health, and movement to underserved populations throughout San Francisco. The project also offers a vehicle for yogis to practice seva (selfless giving) and shala (study) all over the world through their Seva Retreats program. In 2016 the Project took a group to Nepal. This event will also help support local programs providing yoga and yoga therapy to underserved populations in the SF Bay Area.
*4pm class taught by Lucia Young and Aiyisha Castillo. 6pm class taught by Suzanne Byron and Joey Carpenter.
