Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:15pm at Purusha Yoga Studio. Program runs March 28th through May 25th, 2017.
This 8 week long course is for Veterans only and aims to introduce therapeutic yoga techniques which will improve self regulation, mood, and coping skills as well as help to reduce insomnia, depression, and anxiety. Participants will also learn ways in which to alleviate stress and symptoms related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and/or heart disease as well as improving strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, focus, and mental well being.
The course will include physical postures, meditation, and breathing exercises as well as a group check in, progress reports, and personalized assessments.
